Konstantin Othmer
Founder and CEO
Kon has more than 20 years' experience as a developer, leader, and founder in the high technology industry. Before co-founding Core Mobility, Konstantin was the founding CEO of ePeople, Inc., a collaborative CRM application software company, which has raised $70M from Redpoint Ventures, Menlo Ventures and Integral Capital. With his first startup, Catapult Entertainment, later acquired by HearMe.com (NASDAQ: HEAR), he served as vice president of product development and customer support. He has also served as a consultant to several private technology companies including WebTV Networks (now part of Microsoft), Immersion (now NASDAQ: IMMR), Cepheid (now NASDAQ: CPHD), and Health Hero Networks. Prior to his involvement with early-stage companies, Konstantin was a Distinguished Engineer at Apple Computer. He has authored three books-two technical books published by Addison Wesley and one book on seven-card stud poker. He holds ten technology patents and has several others pending. He holds B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Caltech.
Michael Ruf
Founder and CTO
With over two decades of software engineering expertise and leadership, Mike has served in a variety of key roles in leading technology companies. Prior to Core Mobility, Mike consulted for several private technology firms, including Differential (now NASDAQ: TMWD), Immersion (now NASDAQ: IMMR), Health Hero Networks, and Handspring (now NASDAQ: PALM). At Catapult Entertainment, Mike and his team designed and built one of the first PC clients for multiplayer online gaming, and the only one at the time capable of supporting real-time fast-action ("twitch") games. Prior to Catapult, Mike served in various engineering and marketing capacities at Rational Software Corporation, including product manager, marketing engineer, and technical consultant. Mike holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from M.I.T.
Linda Khachooni
CFO
Linda brings a broad range of experience in banking, finance and operations in technology industries, from telecom to e-commerce. Linda began her career at American Investment Corporation managing loan portfolios. After receiving her MBA, Linda began consulting for nonprofit organizations and has served on several boards. In the early 1990s she began consulting with early-stage technology companies (many of which were later acquired), including Wavetron Microsystems, Diba, Classifieds 2000, Billpoint, Arzoon, Pipal Systems, Jade Sail, and Net Conversions. Linda currently sits on several advisory boards. Her credentials include a BS in Mathematics, BS in Business Accounting and Finance, and an MBA.
John Stossel
VP of Engineering
John is a veteran of the mobile industry. Prior to coming to Core Mobility, he was founder of EasyReach and held senior executive level positions at Intellisync, where his leadership contributed to the company's market cap increase from $10M to over $400M and to its eventual sale to Nokia. He was the Founder and CEO of Dry Creek Software (sold to Intellisync in 2000) and Real World Solutions (sold to Puma Technology in 1997). John has also worked at Apple Computer and Charles Schwab & Co. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986 with a B.A.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. In Economics.
Charlie Piontek
VP Sales
Prior to Core Mobility, Mr. Piontek spent four years in VP-level sales positions while leading a twenty-person, venture-backed software company through a $428M acquisition and merger to form Openwave Systems (NASDAQ: OPWV). He has also held executive sales and business development positions at Synacom Technology and Mitsubishi International Corporation, where he ran a $100M Information Technlogy business unit and drove the creation of the their corporate venture capital program.
Albert Jordan
General Manager, Voice Services
Albert has worked for more than 20 years in technology and business management firms. Most recently, Albert was co-founder and VP of Marketing of Kiwi Networks, a start-up developing carrier-grade WAN and guaranteed QoS solutions. Prior to Kiwi, Albert was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Doll Capital Management (DCM), and President and CEO of Adaptive Telecom, Inc. (ATI). During his tenure at ATI he developed a new company strategy, and spearheaded ATI's acquisition by Metawave. Albert has also held leadership positions at Lucent's Wireless division, including P&L and PM responsibility for their CDMA infrastructure products. Albert earned a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College, and BSEE, MSEE and MBA from Stanford University. He holds two U.S. patents.
Paul Forrester
VP Operations & Professional Services
Paul has held positions as software engineering manager, quality assurance director, director of technology, and independent consultant. As an engineer, he developed software ranging from low-level debuggers to GUI applications. He has twenty-five years' experience creating technological solutions for companies of all sizes, including Apple Computer, Aspect Communications, ByVideo, Computer Curriculum Corporation, Health Hero Networks and Mac Publishing, LLC.
